• Review of "Friends of the Family Child Care Center, Preschool & Kindergarten" at Metuchen

  On July 3 I received a call from someone (not Diana) at FOTF telling me that while the toddlers were outside having water play, my 2 year old son managed to open the gate and walk barefoot and shirtless down the sidewalk in downtown Metuchen. Thankfully, he was found by a police officer who returned him. I was not offered any apologies on the phone and the person who called me tried to laugh it off like it was not a serious matter. We immediately pulled our children from care and were told by the state that an investigation was being done. I contacted the director Diana requesting that they immediately remedy the safety issue to prevent this from happening and requested a refund of our latest tuition bill and deposit. I was told, in writing, that I would receive the amount within 30 days. Despite contact from myself and my lawyer, Diana and her staff have refused to return the money owed and have caused my family so much grief and difficulty. We are heartbroken that a place we loved and trusted with our kids' safety was so careless and negligent. Parents please beware.

  This is the second year my daughter is continuing in this school. We enrolled her when she was 3 years in pre-K program. Everyday we have been seeing a positive development in her in terms of learning, being social, interactive, building/creating stuff, rhymes, painting/coloring, cutting and lots and lots of other things. The teachers are "the best" and take very very good care of our child. They give personal attention to each child. We have been very happy overall and we definitely recommend everyone to enroll their kids in this montessori. Thanks to all the teachers for taking excellent care of my kid :-).

  I've been a Metuchen Savings Bank customer since 2002. The staff is so friendly and I've always had positive experiences there. I love their new mobile banking app -- it's been a lifesaver on many occasions that I can't make it to the branch!
